Meet Your Therapist
Monica Rose, LMSW
Hi, I’m Monica — therapist, fellow overthinker, believer in coloring outside the lines, and proud member of the “never quite fit neatly into the box” club.
I work with the wonderfully weird, neuro-spicy, queer, unconventional, and anyone who’s ever felt like the black sheep in the room. My style is warm, relatable, curious, and refreshingly human. I’ll listen, challenge you when you need it, help you untangle the messy stuff—and yes, we’ll probably laugh sometimes too.
No judgment. No pretending. No need to make yourself more “normal.”
Come as you are. We’ll start there. 💚

Let's Untangle Some of This
You don’t need to know what diagnosis fits or even exactly what’s wrong. Sometimes you just know that something isn’t working anymore.
Whether you're struggling with your thoughts, emotions, relationships, identity, past experiences—or just trying to figure out why your brain seems to have its own agenda—we can start there.
Maybe You're Here Because
Your brain won't shut off.
You know what you need to do—but can't seem to start.
You're exhausted from masking or people pleasing.
Your emotions sometimes feel bigger than you know what to do with.
Relationships feel complicated.
You're questioning who you are or where you belong.
You've experienced things you can't seem to leave in the past.
You're tired of trying to fit into someone else's version of “normal.”

Why Therapy with Me is Different
Therapy with me isn’t about sitting quietly while someone nods and asks, “And how does that make you feel?” for 50 minutes. We’ll absolutely talk about feelings—but we’ll also get curious, connect the dots, challenge old patterns, laugh when life is ridiculous, and figure out what might actually help.
My approach blends practical tools like CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, reframing, emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, and problem-solving with something a little harder to put in a textbook: real conversation, curiosity, philosophy, meaning, and human connection.
Because sometimes the question isn’t just “How do I make this symptom go away?” Sometimes it’s:
Why do I keep doing this? Who am I underneath all the expectations? What actually matters to me? And what would my life look like if I stopped trying to be who I’m “supposed” to be?
There’s room here for psychology and science, but also identity, philosophy, spirituality, humor, existential questions, and the wonderfully complicated experience of being human. Spirituality is welcome when it matters to you—but it’s never assumed or imposed.
Sometimes we’ll challenge your thinking. Sometimes we’ll sit with the hard stuff. Sometimes we’ll laugh. Most weeks, we’ll probably do a little of all three.
That’s therapy with me: professional without feeling clinical, meaningful without being preachy, and human enough that you don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the virtual door.

Therapy may happen once a week, but life happens every day.
That’s why support and learning don’t have to stop when our session ends.
Each week, I choose a new mental-health or wellness topic and explore it through daily social media posts, a Weekly Wellness newsletter, and practical resources added to the website
ALL CONNECTED TO THAT WEEKS THEME.
You’ll find bite-sized education, coping strategies, reflection prompts, practical tools,
and little reminders you can carry into everyday life.
